Responding to claims that she had benefitted from the former Bafana Bafana captain, Kelly Khumalo insisted that people had no idea who Senzo was before he started dating her.

“First of all, I was Kelly Khumalo before Senzo Meyiwa. I did not know who Senzo Meyiwa was until a friend of mine explained to me who he was. No one knew who Senzo Meyiwa was until he was attached to the brand Kelly Khumalo. So, really, like really, really, I have nothing to gain. I have had nothing to gain.”

Therefore, many of the things said during the interview did not sit well with Meyiwa’s brother Sifiso Mewiya who slammed Khumalo as a gold digger and home wrecker.

In the brand-new season of ‘Life with Kelly Khumalo’ on Showmax, Kelly brought forward shocking revelations about her relationship with Senzo Meyiwa and his family.

She revealed in the first episode of the third season that the Meyiwa family never cared for him but they were more concerned about his money when he was still alive.

“That family did not love Senzo. They never loved him, he was a cash cow,” she said.

Kelly has been cyberbullied for years due to the murder of her ex, as many assume she’s a suspect.

Addressing the assumptions in the reality show, Kelly Khumalo said many are angered and bullying her because she’s not the one that was shot dead.

Senzo Meyiwa was a South African professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper and captain for both Orlando Pirates in the Premier Soccer League, and the South Africa national team. He was shot and killed in a home invasion on 26 October 2014.
