Zimbabwe President set to announce election date

Addressing thousands gathered at Mabobolo Secondary School, President Mnangagwa informed the public that he will make a special election date announcement on Monday.

“I will announce the election date the day after tomorrow (Monday 29 May 2023)” said President Mnangagwa

This is the news that a number of political parties have been waiting for. The ruling party ZANU PF along with other political parties, CCC, DUF, ZAPU among others have been encouraging the public to register for the upcoming elections, assisted by ZEC.

ZEC voters roll inspection for 2023 elections started on the 27th of May will last until 31st of May.

The main objection of the inspection exercise is to verify the voters’ details as they apply to their constituency, ward and polling station to ensure accuracy.
