Wolverhampton Wanderers have officially announced the signing of Zimbabwean international Marshall Munetsi from French club Stade de Reims. The versatile midfielder has agreed to a three-and-a-half-year contract at Molineux, adding depth to Wolves’ squad for the remainder of the season and beyond.

In a statement confirming the deal, Wolves’ Sporting Director Matt Hobbs expressed his excitement about Munetsi’s arrival, emphasizing the midfielder’s physicality and adaptability.

“It was important for us that Vitor has a number of options in each position, and Marshall is a well-rounded midfielder who is physically up for the challenge of the Premier League,” said Hobbs.

The 27-year-old has been a key figure for Reims in Ligue 1, known for his strong defensive contributions, work rate, and ability to support attacks from midfield. His experience in France, coupled with his international pedigree with Zimbabwe, makes him a valuable addition to Vítor Pereira’s side.

Munetsi will reunite with fellow Wolves midfielder Boubacar Traoré, with whom he previously played in France. Hobbs believes this connection will help the Zimbabwean settle quickly at the club.

“Marshall’s played with Agba, who has settled quickly into the group, and now he’ll have the support of everyone here at the club. He’ll be another option for Vitor, and we’re looking forward to having him as part of the club,” Hobbs added.

Munetsi’s arrival marks another key signing for Wolves as they look to strengthen their squad in the ongoing transfer window. He is expected to compete for a spot in the midfield and could make his Premier League debut in the coming weeks.
