Caps United FC and Highlanders FC will headline match day 13 at Barbourfields Stadium in a thrilling contest between the two giants.

The battle of cities between the two giants was initially set for National Sports Stadium three weeks back before an unforeseen break in all PSL matches due to a venue crisis in Harare.
Before the suspension of games, Bosso managed to edge the noisy neighbours, Bulawayo Chiefs in the Bulawayo derby by a goal to nil at Barbourfield’s stadium.

Speaking at a press conference held at Utande Internet Services, Technical Manager Baltemar Brito said Caps United coming to play at Barbourfields stadium is an advantage to the team as they will be in front of their home fans.

“Of course, it’s a plus to us as we won’t be traveling to Harare, and we hope the support from our fans will come in handy,” said Brito.

Brito also added that the ZPSL is a very competitive league and teams are always putting their effort to collect three points against their opponents.

“The league is very competitive, if you look at the log table, the team that is in position one and the team that is in seventh position have a slight point difference” added Brito.

Brito pointed out that on their injury bill, they have Devine Mhindirira who is out due to an injury, while Archford Faira will miss the tie due to suspension after accumulating three yellow cards.

Bosso is currently second on the log table with 22 points just one point behind Ngezi Platinum Stars FC. The Bulawayo giants have so far scored a total of nine goals this season, five home and four away, while conceding three goals, two at Barbourfields and one on the road.

Caps United FC, will go for their Sunday clash after suffering a 2-1 defeat in the hands of the army side Cranbourne Bullets.
