Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has named a 15-man-squad, led by veteran star all-rounder Sikandar Raza, for the landmark T20 International tri-series involving hosts Namibia and South Africa in Windhoek.

Graeme Cremer returns after recovering from the left-arm injury that ruled him out of the home series against Bangladesh and India. At the same time, Kundai Matigimu has also been included for the tournament, scheduled to run from 28 August to 6 September, 2026.
 
Fast bowlers Richard Ngarava and Tanaka Chivanga were unavailable for selection due to injury.
Ngarava is continuing his recovery from a lower-back injury, while Chivanga has undergone surgery after sustaining an Achilles tendon injury during practice.
 
The ZC medical team will continue to monitor both players as they undergo rehabilitation.
 
Zimbabwe will begin their campaign against South Africa on 29 August before facing Namibia two days later. The three nations will play each other twice, with the top two sides advancing to the final on 6 September.
 
The tournament forms part of a broader initiative to create more regular, high-quality international competition among African nations and strengthen collaboration across the continent.
 
Spearheaded by Africa Cricket Association Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani, the initiative will culminate in the launch of the Africa Cup in 2027.
 
The new competition is envisioned as a flagship continental tournament providing a structured pathway for African cricket nations to compete at the highest level.
