It was a crisp evening in Harare as the fashion crowd gathered for Zimbabwe Fashion Week Cocktail Party at the Zimbabwe Creative and Cultural Arts House (ZICCA) in Harare. Rutendo Denise, the charismatic MC, took the stage for a brief stylish highlight journey into the shows ahead.

Marshall, the director of Fashion Week, warmly greeted the audience, setting the mood and purpose for the festivities, “Tonight, we celebrate Zimbabwe’s vibrant fashion scene“.

Attendees donned fast fashion pieces, others opted for sustainable choices. Char Designz’s designer stood out in a thrift outfit, showcasing eco-friendly style.

Minister of White Linen, stylishly dressed in a red with a touch of black ensemble, caught attention. When asked about his outfit, he smiled, “My beret’s from a local boutique. Supporting Zimbabwean designers is essential.” His words embodied the evening’s spirit.

A representative from Supermodel Zimbabwe took the microphone, sharing exciting news. “After auditioning over 500 aspiring models nationwide, we’re now down to our top 50 contestants.” The room buzzed with anticipation.

Content creators, highlighted some of the pressing issue, “Zimbabwe faces a content creation gap. We need more platforms to showcase local talent and stories“, words that resonated with the crowd.

Renowned designers Ngoni Motsi, Tapfumaneyi Munengi, Nompumelelo Samambgwa, and Tatenda Chidzidzi mingled with attendees, sharing insights into their craft.
