Zimbabwean fashion creative sector is gearing up for another busy week, but this year’s story is more than what happens on the runway. It is about the designers bringing that story to life.

From 7 to 11 October 2026, Zimbabwe Fashion Week will bring designers, creatives, fashion businesses and audiences together at The Venue in Avondale, Harare, under the theme ‘SOWN – Rooted in Zimbabwe.’

At the heart of the week are the designers who will present their work across three nights. The line up brings together a mix of names, labels and creative approaches, offering a glimpse into the direction Zimbabwean fashion is taking.

Thursday’s opening programme begins with Rutendo Georgia Kusano of Monkey Rain Atelier, Sarudzayi Mhlanga of SARURA and Charmaine Ndziradzemuka of Char Designz. They will be followed by Fungai Panganayi of Neddie Star, Ameera Keriah of Ameezeeys, Conistance S Mpinyuri of Machuma Africa, Ruby Cheryl Zinyawu of Ruby’s Touch, Kudzai Mazhindu of MINEstiched and Tatenda Muzenda of The Golden Touch. The evening’s standalone show will come from Koketso Chiepe of Koki Kamala x Amavaa.

Friday continues with Kisiri Panashe of FOR3VER ALONE, Kudakwashe Chirombo of Velori Vita and Phillip Ganizani of Seguru Denims. The second collective will feature Ruvarashe Mutsinze of Planet Avur, Buhle Moyo of If-Acted, Rejoice Guvaza of Riri Couture, Nyadzai Sibanda of Individuality Collections and Alice Zvodedza of Tealisa. Thembani and Evelyn Mubochwa of Afro Jumbo will take the standalone slot.

Saturday brings the final group of designers, starting with Pia Hintz of Empowerment Design Studio, Bakari Sibanda of byBakari and Osley Chaza of Elizac Couture.
The six-designer collective will feature Paigey Vans of Neve Atelier, Esther Austin, Bethany Magaya of Mawoko, Amalinda of Lin Couture, Eunice Kudzai Gurure of ROAR Couture and Marla Coomer of Society of Stylemakers x Maria Coomer.

The final standalone show will be presented by Tapfumanei Munenge.

The fashion industry is often judged by what appears on the runway, but there is much more behind these names. Every collection represents hours spent developing ideas, making samples, sourcing materials and working out how to turn a creative vision into something people can actually buy and wear.
