KIGALI – UNICEF, the Ministry of Youth and Arts, and the Rwanda Development Board have launched Ingazi (Passport to Earning Rwanda), a national initiative designed to bridge the gap between learning and employment for young Rwandans.

The innovative platform provides free access to interactive learning materials aimed at upskilling youth, while connecting them to job, training, and mentorship opportunities through public-private partnerships. Its mission is clear, to equip all Rwandan youth with the skills and connections needed for a smooth transition from school to the workforce.

At the Ingazi Stakeholder Engagement Luncheon, partners from across government, development agencies, and the private sector gathered to discuss how to strengthen Rwanda’s skills and employment ecosystem through data-driven collaboration.

UN Resident Coordinator Ozonnia Ojielo described Ingazi as “a platform of hope, a bridge between potential and opportunity for every Rwandan youth.” He called for a whole-of-government approach to ensure sustainable, hands-on solutions for the future of work.

Minister of Public Service and Labour Hon. Christine Nkulikiyinka praised the platform’s potential to become “Rwanda’s one-stop center for skills and employment,” encouraging young people to register and begin their journey at ingazi.rw.

Echoing the call, Hon. Yves Iradukunda, Minister of State for ICT & Innovation, applauded the strong partnerships driving Ingazi, saying the initiative exemplifies how collaboration and innovation can create real opportunities for Rwanda’s youth.

The Ingazi platform marks a significant step toward Rwanda’s vision of an inclusive, digitally driven economy, one where every young person has the tools, skills, and support to thrive.
