Windhoek — Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah met with leaders of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) at State House, reaffirming her government’s commitment to open dialogue and inclusive governance.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Panduleni Iitula, IPC President, and Hon. Immanuel Nashinge, Leader of the Official Opposition in Parliament, alongside senior government officials, including Vice President Lucia Witbooi and Prime Minister Dr. Elijah Ngurare.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah said the engagement reflects her pledge to strengthen cooperation between government and opposition for the benefit of the nation. “Today’s meeting is part of that commitment to ensure open dialogue, mutual respect, and constructive cooperation in the interest of our nation,” she said.
Dr. Iitula congratulated President Nandi-Ndaitwah on her historic election as Namibia’s first female Head of State, calling it “a defining milestone” and commending her for fostering democratic dialogue.
Discussions focused on key national priorities, including education, health, infrastructure, energy, and Namibia’s positioning amid global geopolitical shifts.
The meeting signals a renewed era of political cooperation and democratic maturity, with further engagements planned between the Presidency and other political parties in the coming weeks.
