Preparations are underway for Style Icon Zim Awards 2nd edition
The Style Icon Zimbabwe Awards (SIZA) are back and slotted to be hosted in different months and at a venue that will be announced in July next month.
The awards recognize and honor players in the field of fashion. The awards are a creation of Tafadzwa Zimoyo and Lee Madyara.
Multi-award-winning fashion stylist, Lillian Madyara who is well known as Hollywood-Lee, is also the director of SIZA informed The Herald publication that preparations for the 2nd edition of the awards ceremony have begun.
“We are hosting the second edition in October and already we are in talks with some of our sponsors and stakeholders,” said Madyara (source Herald).
In 2022 edition, Award winning musician Nutty O entertained the guests and as expected, this was a highlight of the night, with everyone up dancing and singing along to every song.
She further said this year’s awards will be different from the 1st edition with international and regional guests expected to attend the event.
Madyara added that as the team they have engaged the Fashion Council of Zimbabwe who will assist with the list of this year’s nominations. Last year the nomination list was compiled by the SIZA board. The ceremony’s road map will be announced Mid-June.
Last year: Passion Java, Joyce Chimanye, Misred, Arthur Evans, Zarguesia, and Tino Chinyani are among those who were honored.
