MAHERE: It’s not the end of the road

During a media briefing which was made by CCC and conducted by Fadzayi Mahere the party’s national spokesperson, she made some clarifications to the members of the press about the recent held party’s internal nomination.

She said the first stage of the selection process of the preferable candidate by the citizens has passed.

“Our candidate nomination process has at least four stages. Nomination is only the first stage followed by vetting, stakeholders consultation, community consensus and finally announcement of candidate who would have qualified to represent CCC,” said Fadzayi Mahere.


The next stage is the vetting process and later stakeholders consultation and community consensus will follow and then finally an announcement of the final candidate will be made.

The media briefing was made a day after the internal nomination process of the CCC’s party’s candidates was made across the 10 provinces in various wards.


However the nomination process was marked with delays in some areas across the country .

In some areas, reported of tension and violence were made.

Other preferable candidate’s names have been circulating across, social media platforms by the public.

Mahere informed the press that being nominated, doesn’t guarantee one a ticket that they are already a candidate for CCC in the upcoming general elections.


“The fact that one has been nominated is not the end of the process. Nomination doesn’t mean automatic qualification,”she said.


She further informed the press that more briefs about the nominated candidates will be made after Easter Holidays.
