Jazz legend passes on

Jazz legend Kelly Rusike has passed on. The talented musician was a bassist in the band the Rusike Brothers; a jazz band which consisted of him and his siblings; Tawanda, Philip, Abby and Collin. The band was popular in the 1980s and 1990s. The band was formed in 1978 in Zambia, and they moved back to Zimbabwe after the country gained independence gracing various performance halls across the country.

Rusike then left the Rusike brothers to join Jazz Invitation. He was also director of Shed Music Productions (a music production company). His legacy as a musician will be felt for generations to come.

No cause of death has been issued.
