Nine-year-old Zimbabwean model, Aiden Murambidzi, has etched his name in history by becoming the first Zimbabwean male model to clinch the title of Mister Mini Africa.

Representing Zimbabwe with pride, Aiden participated in a prestigious event held in Nigeria on the 29th of March to crown Mister Little Africa. After a fierce competition, Aiden emerged victorious, making his country proud.

In an exclusive interview with My Afrika Magazine, King Aiden Murambidzi shared his journey to victory. He revealed that all candidates were strong contenders, each showing signs of potential winners. Despite the tough competition, Aiden expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he received from the public and for ultimately securing the title.

Reflecting on his win, Aiden expressed humility, acknowledging the caliber of contestants he competed against. “There was no hint that I was going to be announced as the winner because everyone came from their different countries for the crown, and they were polished and prepared,” he said.

As the newly crowned King Mini Africa, Aiden has earned the opportunity to represent the continent at the upcoming Little Miss and Mister World competition scheduled to take place in the United States of America in August. Aiden expressed a sense of responsibility and honor in representing Africa on the international stage for the second time.

“I feel responsible and honored that the whole of Africa is betting on me and supporting,” he remarked.

In addition to claiming the prestigious title, Aiden also secured six other accolades, including Mr. Popularity, Best Talent, Mr. Photogenic, and Multimedia. Notably, he showcased his musical prowess by playing the saxophone during the talent category, a unique and trending performance choice amidst the usual dance and song routines favored by contestants.

Explaining his decision to showcase his saxophone skills, Aiden revealed that he wanted to stand out and showcase his hidden talent. “It’s unique and it’s trending. I wanted to be different; I knew most contestants were going to be dancing and singing,” he explained.
