Zimbabwean all-rounder cricket player Sikandar Raza signed for Indian Premier League (IPL) side at an auction amount of $61 000-USD.
Raza joins other legendary Zimbabwean cricket players who were once signed by an Indian Premier League club and these are: Tatenda Taibu, Ray Price and Brendan Taylor.
The new development comes at a time when Raza was drifted by the Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Lahore Qalandars earlier this month.
Raza has been in red-hot form this year, scoring 735 runs in 24 matches at a strike-rate of 150 while also claiming 25 wickets as well as being the player of the match award on three occasions during the 2022 T20 World Cup.
Raza was joined by England Cricket player, Sam Curran son of the late Zimbabwean cricket coach Kevin Curran.
Sam was signed under $2.23US million becoming the most expensive player.
In other news, Africa’s number one team Morocco, was ranked by Fifa at position 11 and this comes after they managed to reach the fourth place during the just ended World Cup.
Morocco, Cameroon and Gambia are the only countries who managed to climb the ladder in ten positions.

The team also won, Most Valuable Player which was awarded to Keith Ndlovu. The Top Goal Scoarer was awarded to Gwanda Rebels player, Anyway Madyirapanze and the Most Promising Player Award was won by Bhekani Khumalo from Gwanda Rebels.
Highlanders Comets won the Most Disciplined Team of the year award.
