Zimbabwe | Botswana: This Friday, acclaimed musician Advokate I will release a powerful new song titled ZVINODHAKA, featuring Botswana’s Chantty Natural. The track is an awareness anthem aimed at combating the growing issue of drug abuse, a problem that has reached alarming levels in communities across Southern Africa.

Singer-songwriter Chantty Natural, hailing from Lobatse, Botswana, blends smooth Setswana vocals with contemporary reggae and worldbeat rhythms, creating a unique genre called Tswanshall. Known for his conscious music, Chantty continues his mission to spread peace and healing through music. Inspired by reggae legends like Bob Marley and Shabba Ranks, Chantty began his musical journey by winning local talent shows in the late ’90s, and released his debut album Seponono in 2001.

With its poignant message and stirring collaboration, ZVINODHAKA is set to make a significant impact. Dzemabweh Investments, the team behind the release, is inviting media houses, journalists, and radio/TV presenters to cover this important project, helping to spread the word and promote awareness around the dangers of drug abuse.

Gabriel Muchanyu, known by his stage name Advokate I, is an international musician and businessman from Zimbabwe, born on May 22, 1995, in Bulawayo. His family later relocated to Torwood, Kwekwe, where he completed his primary and secondary education at George Hill and Batanai (ZISCO) High, respectively. Although financial constraints prevented him from furthering his studies, his passion for reggae and dancehall music blossomed in 2011 after watching fellow students perform at a school event. He began writing and recording music, first using makeshift methods, and later progressed to a proper studio experience at Manix Bros Studios in 2014. His professional music career took off in 2020 when he connected with Don Franco Tafari and Rebel Shumba, who played significant roles in shaping his musical journey and brand.
