Several designers made a lasting impression on the runway, showcasing their unique styles and talents. KIDD HUNTA by Tafadzwa Moyo’s collection was a testament to her innovative approach to fashion, with intricate details and bold designs that left the audience in awe. TERRY THOBANI by Terrence Ngulube’s designs exuded sophistication and elegance, showcasing his mastery of blending traditional and modern elements.

HOUSE OF QUEEN BEE by Brenda Gwatata’s collection was a celebration of femininity, with exquisite pieces that highlighted her attention to detail and craftsmanship. VANISHA CROCHET by Vanisha Ramjee’s kid’s collection was an adorable showcase of crochet expertise, with each piece showcasing her creativity and patience.

LIN COUTURE by Amalinda’s designs were a fusion of modern style and African flair, with a focus on clean lines and minimalism. GLC EXCLUSIVE by Graham Chabvamupero’s collection was a masterclass in blending luxury and streetwear, with statement pieces that turned heads. SERENITY by Precise Kasongo’s designs embodied elegance and poise, showcasing her talent for creating exquisite pieces.

MAWOKO by Bethany Magaya’s collection was a celebration of African heritage, with bold colors and intricate patterns. KOKI KAMALA by Koketso Chiepe’s designs were a testament to her creativity and skill, with each piece showcasing her unique perspective.

The event also recognised outstanding designers, with four awards given for exceptional collections. Nala brand was the overall winner, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the designers.

In a bold move, the directors of Hunhu Council announced plans to formulate AfricaWood, a creative initiative aimed at promoting African talent and storytelling.

This move is set to rival Hollywood, providing a platform for African creatives to showcase their work globally.

The future of African fashion and storytelling looks bright, with ZimFashionWeek playing a pivotal role in shaping the industry.
