Zimbabwe Cricket announced on 28 May 2026 that Zimbabwe ‘A’ will return to competitive action in June with a tour of Bangladesh featuring three one-day matches and two four-day fixtures against Bangladesh ‘A’.

The tour was described as a crucial assignment designed to give the country’s emerging players valuable exposure in both white-ball and red-ball cricket.

The limited-overs leg will open in Bogura, where Shaheed Chandu Stadium will host the first two 50-over matches on 8 and 10 June.

The third and final one-dayer is scheduled for Rajshahi Divisional Stadium in Rajshahi on 13 June. All three matches will start at 0500 Central Africa Time.
The focus will then shift to the longer format in Sylhet, with both four-day games to be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The first encounter will run from 17 to 20 June and the second from 24 to 27 June, with play set to begin at 0530 Central Africa Time.

Officials said the series will test the adaptability of Zimbabwe’s younger players in subcontinental conditions and provide a platform for those pushing for senior selection.

The tour will mark Zimbabwe ‘A’s first outing since October 2025, when the side played a three-day match against the Marylebone Cricket Club at Harare Sports Club. Prior to that, Zimbabwe ‘A’ featured during Scotland’s tour of Zimbabwe in April 2025, which included a mix of multi-day and one-day matches aimed at giving fringe players additional game time.

The squad and support staff are expected to depart in early June, with the tour concluding on 27 June after the final four-day match in Sylhet.
