Prominently known by his stage as Mc Kampton, is a 27-year-old singer and songwriter who is changing the music industry of Zimbabwe through his voice.
Born Hillary Takudzwa Mwedzi, he did not mushroom in the music industry however he has paid price for his name to be among those who should be expected to dominate the country’s music industry through his hardwork and sweat.
Mc Kampton is currently managed by the brand Muvaz of which under its wings has been assisting both established and upcoming artists to create footprints in the music and business industry.
Mc Kampton sharperned his tools before he became a professional musician, he was born in Midlands a home of many Zimbabwe artists. In addition he obtained his education at a school which had the country’s giant Jazz musician Bob Nyaminde.
At the age of 14, he was a music writer an within a year he had his first recording experience in 2010.
Mc Kampton has had some opportunities to share stages and work with award winning, Zimbabwean artistas who include: Lady Squanda, Chillspot Records, Dj Staerra, Poptain and Anita Jaxson.
His inspiration derives from Chris Martin, Chris Brown, Vybz Kartel and many others in both local and international music.
Mc Kampton, together with his handlers at Muvaz Talent Management, is working hard to promoting the artiste’s latest body of work due for release in January 2023. The mixtape wittily titled ‘Flextape’ is simply described as ‘Flexing on a mixtape’. The artist basically goes on a humble bragging spree with an ultimate objective to explicitly exhibit his musical prowess. People will have a chance to enjoy one song from the mixtape titled ‘Sorry’ and it features Poptain. When the mixtape drops in 2023 the world shall definitely shake to the rumble of the beat as Tamy Moyo, Anita Jaxson, Takue, Shayne, and Divergence grace the project with world class feature
