Reigning Mister of Zimbabwe, Takudzwa Auditor Kanyai, is not just a psychology student and mental health advocate—he is a man of many talents. Known widely as a pageantry, fashion, and commercial model by day, by night he channels his creativity into designing fashion that tells powerful, socially conscious stories.
One of his most talked-about designs is a denim outfit advocating for climate change awareness. With every stitch and detail, the garment is carefully crafted to highlight the causes and effects of climate change while promoting sustainability.
“I wanted to use my platform as a model and designer to raise awareness about climate change,” said Takudzwa. “I designed the outfit myself from scratch, and it was my second design. I was determined to make a statement with this outfit.”
The piece debuted at the Mr. and Miss Climate Change Zimbabwe pageant in Kwekwe. Since then, it has made waves beyond the Midlands, generating buzz across Zimbabwe.
The success of the design has significantly elevated Takudzwa’s career as a fashion designer, serving as a marketing tool that has attracted clients from all corners of the country. Having worked with renowned brands like Jet, Edgars, and The Suits World, Takudzwa expressed gratitude to all who continue to support his work.
His bold denim creation not only showcases his talent but also serves as a compelling call to action in the fight against climate change.
