Johannesburg, South Africa – October 27, 2025 — The Miss South Africa Organisation has crowned Qhawekazi Mazaleni as Miss South Africa 2025, ushering in a new era of purpose-driven leadership. Known for her passion for community development and youth empowerment, Qhawekazi vowed to use her reign as a platform to champion transformation and social impact across the country.
As the first ambassador of the Miss South Africa Organisation’s new Empower Youth Africa (EYA) initiative, Qhawekazi will focus on tackling critical issues affecting South Africa’s women and youth — including unemployment, entrepreneurship and skills development, access to education, health and wellness, and civic engagement.
“Leadership involves responsibility. I want to be an ambassador with deep purpose and a voice that reflects this country,” said Mazaleni. “I intend to take Empower Youth Africa very seriously during my reign and ensure that everything I and my fellow finalists do is anchored in impact — measurable and meaningful when I hand over.”
Congratulating the new titleholder, Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Patron and Chairperson of the Miss South Africa Organisation, described Qhawekazi as “a shining example of excellence who embodies the values that drive Empower Youth Africa.”
The Empower Youth Africa (EYA) programme brings together all nine 2025 finalists to collaborate on scalable, sustainable social-impact projects, reflecting Miss South Africa’s growing focus on youth-driven leadership and innovation.
Now in its new chapter, Miss South Africa continues to serve as the nation’s premier empowerment platform, celebrating women who lead with courage, authenticity, and a commitment to shaping a brighter future for all South Africans.
