Zimbabwe lost an exceptionally talented female Elita Gochera who starred as Mai Ngoromani in the 1990s popular comedy TV series “Paraffin”.

She was 80.

She died on Thursday from suspected kidney failure.

The olden day’s drama “Paraffin” remains one of the best local television productions that had the combination of the late Phillip Mushangwe (Paraffin) and Rhoda Mtembe (Mai Sorobhi) who was always hilarious.

Mai Ngoromani made flawless scenes that were not only comical but also mirrored social issues.

She also acted in the ZTV drama “Pfuma Yenhaka Inoparadza Ukama” as Magadarena.
