Serial entrepreneur and Harare based philanthropist, Tandiwe Mapolisa is set to release her memoir early next month.

Detailing how she grew up in Mbare and became a teenage mother but rose to becoming a global entrepreneur, this is a story of resilience, determination and the refusal to surrender. Her life story, marked by challenges from an early age, is now being told in her new book, Full Circle: Charting My Way a deeply personal account of the experiences that shaped her and the determination that propelled her forward.

Mapolisa said that this was the right time to break out of her shell and tell her story for the benefit of many other who can learn from her mistakes, background and more so her success.

“This memoir is not just a check off my bucketlist but a gift I have always wanted to give to the world, especially to the African girl child. I want them to know that they can achieve anything that they set out to do inspite of where they come from or whatever hindrances they meet along the way,” she explained.

Mapolisa grew up in Mbare, a high-density suburb that has often been associated with a range of social and economic challenges. As a young woman, she also became a teenage mother, taking on the responsibilities of motherhood at a time when many of her peers were still finding their way. But all this did not deter her from building a better future for herself and her family.

“My family supported me through every phase of my life and that support played an important role in me pursuing my ambitions,” Mapolisa said.

Full Circle: Charting My Way traces the different chapters of Mapolisa’s life, including the challenges she encountered, the decisions she made and the people who supported her along the way. The launch of Full Circle: Charting My Way is therefore more than the release of a book for Mapolisa but represents an opportunity to share the lessons she has gathered throughout her journey and encourage people who may be struggling with their own circumstances.

Her central message is simple: “do not give up because of where you come from or what you have been through.”

Today, Mapolisa is a global entrepreneur making her mark in the payroll space, demonstrating how far determination and a willingness to keep learning can take an individual. developed herself professionally and ultimately built a career that would take her beyond Zimbabwe’s borders. Her journey has come full circle from Mbare to the global stage, from teenage motherhood to entrepreneurship, and from overcoming adversity to inspiring others not to give up.
