In a historic leap toward digital governance and citizen empowerment, Eswatini’s Minister of ICT, Savannah Maziya, today officially launched the Government In Your Hand (GIYH) mobile application — a bold innovation that brings essential public services directly into the hands of emaSwati.
The milestone event, held in partnership with the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), also witnessed the unveiling of the ERS TaxPal App, a digital platform designed to simplify tax and customs services for all citizens.
Graced by the Minister of Finance, Neal Rijkenberg, the launch marked a strong statement of collaboration between government institutions in accelerating citizen-centered digital transformation.
“We are restoring the dignity of emaSwati by collapsing barriers of time, distance, and cost — and bringing government services to the hands of the people. This is not just a mobile app — it is a transformation of how government serves,” said Minister Maziya.
From checking ID and passport statuses to registering a business name, paying vehicle licences via mobile money, and accessing educational financing, GIYH offers a one-stop digital solution — with more services set to be added every six months.
“At its heart, it is a simple but transformative idea: that every liSwati should be able to access public services with ease, without long queues, lost time, or unnecessary costs,” added Maziya.
Complementing this was the launch of TaxPal, the ERS’s flagship app, which ERS Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule said redefines service through accessibility and trust.
“Digitalisation is not merely about adopting new technology — it’s about reimagining how we serve,” said Nkambule. “It’s about making compliance simple, fair, and accessible to all.”
Minister Rijkenberg hailed the collaborative digital efforts as a living embodiment of Nkwe in action — the government’s results-oriented development approach.
“Together, these platforms will give taxpayers and citizens an experience that is fast, transparent, and convenient,” said Rijkenberg.

With digital inclusion at its core, the GIYH app marks a transformative chapter in Eswatini’s journey — connecting people, driving innovation, and building a future where public service is accessible, seamless, and truly in the hands of every citizen.
How to Access the GIYH App:
- Download GIYH from Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iPhone)
- Register using your national ID
