Johannesburg, South Africa – October 22, 2025: Africa’s largest Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation gathering, AI Expo Africa, is set to take place from 29–31 October 2025 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. Now in its 8th year, the event will bring together regional and international AI leaders, innovators, investors, and startups to explore cutting-edge technologies shaping the continent’s digital future.

Organised by the South African AI Association, the 2025 edition marks the biggest AI Expo Africa to date, featuring over 100 AI companies, many of them homegrown African startups, alongside major global tech players. According to Dr. Nick Bradshaw, Founder of AI Expo Africa and Chairperson of the South African AI Association, “This 8th Anniversary Edition is our biggest show to-date, with over 100 AI companies in the expo hall, many of which are local and regional AI Startups.

This year’s conference will address major themes including Agentic AI, AI security, Responsible AI, data centre investment, and national AI strategies. A special highlight will be the ITU AI for Good Impact Africa forum, hosted on the third day, focusing on how artificial intelligence can be harnessed for social and developmental impact across the continent.

Over 60 speakers and panellists from leading organisations such as Google, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Huawei, Standard Bank Group, FNB, PepsiCo, Salesforce, and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will share insights on emerging trends and practical AI applications.

With a growing community of more than 50,000 AI practitioners, AI Expo Africa has established Johannesburg as the hub of AI and intelligent automation in Africa. The event continues to serve as a critical platform for connecting enterprise and government buyers, startups, educators, NGOs, and investors shaping the continent’s AI-driven future.
