Zimbabwe’s Haus of Stone Showroom is taking emerging local design talent to the international stage as it prepares to participate at Kolwezi Fashion Week from 1–5 July 2026.
Known as a roving pop-up shopping experience and creative hub for the “global conscious wanderer,” Haus of Stone uses fashion to tell authentic Zimbabwean stories rooted in heritage, sustainability and craftsmanship.
For this international showcase, the brand is creating a platform for fellow Zimbabwean designers including George Takora, Char Design Houze, Zanorashe and Ruby’s Touch, alongside its own in-house label.
Together, the collective will establish a vibrant pop-up shop at Africa Fashion Village, creating opportunities to connect directly with shoppers, buyers and fashion audiences from across the region.
The initiative reflects Haus of Stone’s commitment to collaboration over competition, providing emerging designers with access to new markets and stronger regional networks.
“Our goal is to use fashion to tell our stories, preserve our culture and create real business opportunities for local designers,” said founder Danayi Chapfika-Madondo.
Founded in 2023 in Harare, Haus of Stone Showroom has grown into a creative studio, experiential retail space and platform supporting Zimbabwean and African designers. Through partnerships, pop-ups and sustainable fashion initiatives, the brand continues to champion African craftsmanship and expand opportunities for local talent on the global stage.
