The much-loved South African lifestyle flagship Top Billing is set to lift the curtain once more, following the success of its reunion special aired in November 2025 on SABC 3. The televised gathering brought together beloved former and current presenters, Ryle De Morny, Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Fezile Mkhize, alongside iconic duo Basetsana Kumalo and Michael Mol, celebrating a programme that has defined aspirational living for nearly three decades.

After a six-year hiatus, the series will return with brand-new weekly episodes in March 2026, offering its classic blend of luxury travel, architecture, design and inspirational storytelling.

Top Billing first aired in October 1992, becoming South Africa’s longest-running entertainment and lifestyle show. Over twenty-seven years, it built a reputation for excellence, showcasing opulent destinations, cutting-edge homes and influential personalities. Its star-studded roster of presenters—including Lorna Maseko, Tumisho Masha, Roxy Burger, Jeannie D and Jo-Ann Strauss—shaped the show’s legacy.

Among its standout talents was Zimbabwean presenter Simba Mhere, who joined Top Billing in 2010 after winning a nationwide presenter search. He became the show’s first Black presenter and quickly won hearts with his charm, warmth and effortless style.

The show’s pan-African reach also welcomed prominent Zimbabwean guests. The late National Hero Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi once graced an episode with his unmistakable musical presence, while model-turned-entrepreneur Harmony Katulondi featured in a segment spotlighting emerging African fashion designers.

The return of Top Billing marks more than nostalgia—it signals a renewed era, strengthened by a partnership with Corona Beer as the brand celebrates its centenary under the “100 Years Under the Sun” campaign. The collaboration has produced the Corona Beach 100 project, highlighting four of South Africa’s most breathtaking coastlines, Nature’s Valley, Kraal Baai, Boulders Beach and Camps Bay, which feature prominently in the reunion special.
