Africa’s biggest Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation gathering, AI Expo Africa, returns for its 8th edition at the Sandton Convention Centre from 29 to 31 October 2025.

Organised by the South African AI Association, the event has grown into the continent’s largest AI-focused trade show and conference, uniting regional and global leaders in artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies. This year’s expo is set to be the largest yet, attracting over 3,000 delegates, 100+ exhibitors, and 72 talks, 6 keynotes, and 12 CPD workshops across three days.

Dr. Nick Bradshaw, Founder of AI Expo Africa and Chairperson of the South African AI Association, described the 2025 edition as a landmark moment.

“This is our 8th Anniversary Edition and biggest show to date, with over 100 companies in the expo hall, many of which are local and regional startups. Big themes for this year range from Agentic AI and progress towards the autonomous enterprise, to security in the age of AI, responsible AI, national AI strategies, and data centre investment. We are also proud to host the first International Telecommunication Union (ITU) AI for Good Impact Africa gathering as part of the event.”

The addition of a third day dedicated to AI for Good reflects the global momentum around harnessing AI to address social, environmental, and economic challenges. The ITU gathering will bring together innovators and policymakers to explore how AI can accelerate sustainable development goals in Africa.

Top international brands such as Google, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Verint, Zoho Corporation, and VAST Data will join African and regional firms like AgenticZA, Avochoc, Matogen Applied Insights, Amathuba-ai, and Nexus Data in showcasing cutting-edge AI solutions. Exhibitors span industries from healthcare and finance to legal tech, education, and smart data systems.

With a community of over 50,000 practitioners and a strong record of success since its inception, AI Expo Africa has cemented its place as the leading platform for business-driven AI in Africa. The event provides a unique opportunity for startups, investors, corporates, governments, and NGOs to connect, share insights, and forge partnerships.
