“I didn’t perform my original songs that night, but the significance of being part of such a lineup meant everything to me,” Tina shared. “There are so few of us women in the music industry, especially those leading personal projects, so being showcased in this way is something I’m truly proud of.“

But Tina’s journey didn’t end there. The next day, her song Old School Love played at Plaza España, just minutes before the iconic Rosalía took the stage, offering Tina even more exposure and drawing a whole new audience to her music.

Reflecting on the experience, Tina expressed her deep gratitude. “Hearing my song in such a grand setting, in front of thousands of people, was surreal. It’s brought me a new wave of listeners, and I’m super grateful for the opportunity. It meant everything to me.”

Tina’s rise in Spain is a testament to her dedication, but her musical roots trace back to Zimbabwe, as she was part of the famous jazz band, The Jazz Invitation, lead by the late Kelly Rusike.
