NEW YORK: Grammy award winner DJ Black Coffee made history when he became the first South African to fill Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The concert starred special guest Major League DJz at The Garden on Saturday, October 7, featuring special appearances by Bucie, Delilah Montagu, Maxine Ashley, Monique Bingham, Mr. V, Msaki, Portia Monique, Shoba, Soul Star, Roland Clark, Zoe Kypri, WhoMadeWho and a 12-piece orchestra.

The South African President Cyril Ramaphosa took to X timeline to share his joy: “Congratulations to Black Coffee for being the first South African DJ to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City, US, to a sold-out show this past Saturday. South African artists continue to distinguish themselves and promote our talents on the global stage. We thank you for flying the national flag.”
