15 Years of Mister Ideal Nigeria: Celebrating a legacy of empowerment and growth

Fifteen years ago, international pageant owner Ayotunde Fabamwo founded one of the biggest pageants in Nigeria, Mister Ideal Nigeria. This pageant has been established as a platform that empowers young men physically, socially, and economically.

Over the years, Mister Ideal Nigeria has produced notable figures who have played key roles in the entertainment sector, including Mister Africa International Emmanuel Umoh, actors Jidekene Achufusi, Chuks Joseph, Christian Prince, and Alvin Abayomi, as well as supermodels Tobi Bakre, Wale Bello, and Hermes Iyele.

Since its inception, the brand has grown significantly, expanding into other countries such as Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, and Zambia.

Celebrating its 15th year, the pageant is running under the theme “The Tech, The Trend, The Titan.” Delegates from across Nigeria are competing for the title, with the winner having the opportunity to be crowned Mister Ideal Nigeria and represent the country at the Mister Africa International pageant in Sierra Leone this December.

The main competition began on May 27th with the photoshoot category, followed by a pool party and public speaking event on the 28th. On Wednesday, the 29th, it was Rag Day, giving pageant fans a chance to view some of the national costumes on social media.

Thursday and Friday are dedicated to strength, with the crowning of Mr. Physique and Mr. Strength. June 1st will feature a white party, culminating in the coronation night on June 2nd.
