Zimbabwe Fashion Week (ZFW) 2024 has officially been postponed to new dates, October 30 – November 2, 2024, as announced by the event’s founder, Priscilla Chigariro.
The decision to reschedule follows recent changes in the local economic landscape, which saw some sponsors reduce their financial commitments. Chigariro emphasized the importance of maintaining the high-quality experience that attendees, designers, and industry stakeholders have come to expect from ZFW, stating that the postponement would allow organizers time to secure additional sponsorships and ensure the event’s success.
“Due to recent shifts in the local economy, some of our sponsors have reduced their sponsorship values. To ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality experience for all, we have made the decision to postpone the event and secure additional sponsorships,” Chigariro said in a statement.
While the postponement may cause some inconvenience, the ZFW team assured participants that detailed communication, including new plans and schedules, will be shared in the coming weeks.
The fashion community and industry supporters are encouraged to stay engaged as preparations for ZFW2024 continue, with the promise of making the event an even more memorable experience.
Zimbabwe Fashion Week has long been a significant platform for showcasing local and international designers, contributing to the growth and visibility of the country’s fashion industry. Despite the delay, excitement remains high for the upcoming event.
Further updates will follow as the new dates approach.
