
Zimbabwe made a strong start to their Test series against Bangladesh, dominating day one of the first match in Sylhet on Sunday with a polished all-round display.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat but were dismissed for just 191, despite a resilient 56 from Mominul Haque. Victor Nyauchi sparked the collapse with early breakthroughs, while Blessing Muzarabani and Wellington Masakadza claimed three wickets each. Wessly Madhevere chipped in with two late strikes to wrap up the innings.
In response, Zimbabwe reached 67 without loss at stumps. Brian Bennett impressed with a quickfire 40* off 37 balls, supported by Ben Curran on 17*, before bad light ended play early.
