Speaking on the sidelines of a press conference which took place at Holiday Inn in the capital last week, the chief host Hugo Ribatika said that the program will help business people to grow their small businesses.

‎”Organized by the Zimbabweans in Diaspora Organisation (ZIDO), this high-level event will be held from the 2nd to 4th of October 2025 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The Expo aims to promote bilateral trade, attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and engage the Zimbabwean diaspora in driving national development through innovation, capital, and expertise.

‎”Through exhibitions, seminars, deal rooms, and networking sessions, the Expo offers a dynamic space for impactful dialogue and global market expansion, promote trade partnerships between Zimbabwe, the UK, and Europe, attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into high-growth sectors, and unlock new market opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses,” said Ribatika.

‎Some of the targeted business sectors include mining, energy, finance, healthcare, tourism, and agriculture among others.

‎”It also aims to build strong networks through expert-led seminars and B2B engagement, engage the diaspora in national development and economic transformation, and encourage active diaspora participation in Zimbabwe’s economic growth,” he added.

The UK–Zimbabwe Business Expo 2025 is a premier international trade and investment platform which enables direct engagement between investors, policymakers, and business leaders amongst others. It also strengthens Zimbabwe’s commercial ties with global markets, as well as promoting bankable public and private sector projects, only to mention a few.
