TEXPO has announced a strategic partnership with My Afrika Magazine, naming the publication as the official media partner for TEXPO 25, taking place from April 21-25, 2025, at the Zimbabwe Academy of Music in Bulawayo.
This collaboration comes as TEXPO focuses its 2025 program on the Creative Economy and the intersection between creativity and technology across the African continent. The partnership recognises the alignment between TEXPO’s mission to drive technological innovation and My Afrika Magazine’s commitment to authentic African storytelling.
“The stories emerging from the African creative technology space deserve a platform that understands their significance and context,” said Solomon Maramba – Creative at Texpo “My Afrika Magazine brings the journalistic expertise and continental perspective needed to document the work being showcased at TEXPO 25.”
The partnership will enable comprehensive coverage of the innovations, entrepreneurs, and creative technologists participating in the week-long event. My Afrika Magazine will document the conversations, breakthroughs, and collaborations that emerge during TEXPO 25.
A special focus of the coverage will include young technology adventurers – the next generation of African innovators who are pushing boundaries and creating new possibilities in the tech space. My Afrika Magazine will feature profiles of these emerging talents, highlighting their journeys, challenges, and visions for Africa’s technological future.
The five-day TEXPO event will feature exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities focused on how technology is reshaping creative industries across Zimbabwe. From digital art and music production to immersive media and educational technology, TEXPO 25 will highlight how young Zimbabwean creators are using technological tools to preserve cultural heritage while building new economic opportunities.

The My Afrika Magazine team will have full access to the event, conducting interviews with innovators, capturing demonstrations, and providing daily coverage of key developments, with dedicated segments spotlighting young technology adventurers and their projects.
“By naming My Afrika Magazine as the official media partner for TEXPO 25, not only enhances visibility for both entities but also aligns our missions to foster technological innovation and authentic African storytelling.” said Charmaine Brown, My Afrika Magazine Editor “This also empowers local talent by providing a platform for their voices to be heard in an increasingly digital world.”
