Simba Ray (born Raymond Chinyanga) is a founding tenor of Zim Praise Choir. He has done work with the likes of Zimbabwean gospel legend Pastor G.

Simba auditioned and was accepted to be part of the ZimPraise outfit while he was only seventeen years old, at the time becoming the youngest member of the group. Not only was he a founding tenor and director of the tenor section, but he was also a member of the executive committee and a touring member of the group during his time.

He left ZimPraise in 2017 to chase his own vision and make a name for himself as a solo performer.

He released an EP titled ‘Hosanna’ in 2021. His single “God Will Do it” enjoyed a run on the famed Zimpapers Gospel Greats (Zimbabwe). The song has an international appeal and uplifting message.

Simba also makes times to mentor upcoming individuals, groups, and choirs. He also works as a vocal coach and trainer.
