Soccer: It was a great weekend for the FC Platinum as the defending Champions  league title holders. 

The team won their first silverware of the 2023 season.

After facing off with the Chibuku Super Cup winners, Bulawayo Chiefs Super Cup winners in the Castle Challenge Cup finals at Mandava Stadium.  

Panashe Mutimbanyoka made an early opener for his team FC Platinum. 

In the 10 minutes of the match, FC Platinum  doubled their lead.The result gave the league champs their fourth successive Castle Challenge Cup Triumph and extended their dominance in the cup. 

Rugby: It wasn’t  the same news in the local rugby as the unbeaten history, of the Pitbulls came to end. 

The Pitbulls suffered  their first defeat in over two years, they were beaten 43-36 by the Old Hararians. 

“I am very proud of the boys and the victory is the outcome of the effort they have been putting,in after we have started the season in a bad note  as we had lost two of our games,” said Tatenda, Old Hararians Head Coach.

Cricket: Former Zimbabwean legendary cricketer, Henry Olonga confirmed through his social media that he acquired an Australian citizenship last week. 

The Zimbabwe  cricket’s Over-50s team, they won their fourth consecutive match yesterday, topping Group A at the 2023 Over-50s Cricket World Cup being held in South Africa.

In their group the teams are: New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, West Indies, USA, Sri Lanka.

Judo: Pretorious Christi Rose was representing Zimbabwe at the Africa Judo Champions and won the gold medal. 

Racing: Zimbabwe’s Formula one driver, Axcil Jefferies announced that he will be competing at the World Endurance Championship. Which he described as his main programme.
