South Africa’s trailblazing SA Menswear Week (SAMW) enters a bold new era, rebranding as The Week of Fashion South Africa—an expanded platform reflecting the depth and cultural intelligence of the local industry.

The evolution formalises years of growth, with SAMW broadening its scope to include womenswear, emerging talent and wider cultural narratives. The result is a unified ecosystem designed to house multiple expressions of South African fashion under one cohesive banner.

The platform will host two key seasonal showcases annually, with Autumn/Winter 26 set for 23–25 April 2026 and Spring/Summer 27 from 12–17 October 2026—offering a clearer, more strategic calendar for designers and industry stakeholders.

Founder and Creative Director Simon Deiner said the shift responds to the changing needs of designers navigating a dynamic global landscape. “This evolution formalises what has already been happening—aligning fashion week with marketing, audience engagement and global opportunities,” he noted.

Structured around multiple pillars, the platform retains SAMW as its menswear anchor while introducing womenswear showcases, GradWeek for emerging designers, Global Fashion Graduate, FASHtalks, TheShowRooms, Fashion Map Cape Town, WOF. Club and HIM, a premium model development initiative.

By merging fashion, culture and commerce into a shared space, The Week of Fashion South Africa positions itself as a leading force shaping the continent’s fashion future—while staying rooted in collaboration and industry growth.
