Currently in Türkiye, Zimbabwean-born and UK-based model and multi-award-winning changemaker Queen Amanda Ngcono Nkomo is waving both flags at the ongoing Miss Aura International pageant — a platform that celebrates beauty, intellect, and impactful community service.

“I am honoured and proud to be a Zimbabwean and British woman representing my two home countries on a global stage. By doing so, I believe it shows that the relationship between the two nations is unbreakable,” said Amanda Ngcono Nkomo.

In an exclusive conversation with My Afrika Magazine, Amanda revealed that her journey to the crown has not been an easy one. But through the unwavering support from Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom — two nations she calls home — she believes she’s destined for greatness.

“Preparing for this incredible platform hasn’t been an easy journey, but the support I’ve received from both my birth and residential homes has played a key role in my path to the throne,” she said.

Queen Amanda is passionate about culture and proudly represents the rich heritage of both Zimbabwe and the UK. “I am not carrying only one flag upon my shoulders, but two — and I am representing both nations’ incredible cultures,” she added.

Beyond the runway, Amanda is the founder of the Ngcono Mbowane Foundation, a highly respected initiative that has empowered young girls across Africa, particularly in countries like Tanzania, Ghana, and Zimbabwe. Her advocacy has earned her and the organisation several accolades for driving meaningful change.

As she competes in Miss Aura International, Amanda Ngcono Nkomo continues to inspire — not just with elegance and grace — but with the powerful message of unity, dual identity, and transformative leadership.
