
Namibia’s new Head of State, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has appointed Honourable Ingenesia Inge Zaamwani as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, marking a key step in shaping the 8th Administration.
The appointment follows Honourable Zaamwani’s swearing-in as a member of the National Assembly. With a decorated background in mining, financial services, and governance, she is widely respected for her leadership acumen.
She formerly served as Managing Director of Namdeb, Chairperson of First National Bank Namibia, and as Special Advisor to the President on Constitutional Affairs and Private Sector Interface.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed confidence that Minister Zaamwani’s expertise will advance Namibia’s food security, drive job creation, and unlock value-addition in agriculture and related sectors.
Zaamwani’s appointment signals a bold, strategic shift aimed at unlocking Namibia’s potential from the land to the sea.
