Mozambican singer Rhodalia Silvestre enchanted the audience in Portugal when she performed during the ongoing I Got Talent Portugal, which was broadcast live on RTP. She graced the stage with a fusion of two iconic songs: the legendary Click Song by the late Mama Miriam Makeba and (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.

In a social media post, she expressed gratitude for the support she has received from the public. “Thanks again to everyone who supports me and believes in my work. Kanimambo,” she posted (source: Facebook).

Her performance captured the attention of the judges, audience, and even fellow contestants, who rallied behind her as they sang along to Natural Woman. Rhodalia Silvestre made her debut in the competition on January 12, performing Purple Rain by the late American music icon Prince.

Judges, including Inês Aires Pereira and Filomena Cautela, were astonished by her performance. In her first appearance, Filomena Cautela remarked, “I have never seen anyone like you on Portuguese television… For me, you are the discovery of Got Talent this year.”

I Got Talent Portugal was founded in 2007, with past winners taking home at least €30,000. The inaugural winner in 2007 walked away with €10,000. In 2017, António Casalinho became the first finalist to win €30,000.

This year’s finale is set to take place in April.
