All is set for the highly anticipated Fashion Extravaganza & Exhibition, scheduled for June 22. Hosted by The Herald Lifestyle in collaboration with exclusive brands and organizations such as The Style Icon, the Fashion Council of Zimbabwe, 4May, The National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Esteem Communications, and Jive Tec, the event will take place at The National Gallery in Harare.
This high-profile event is expected to attract A-listers, including Minister of Whitelinen, Mai Titi, and other international celebrities. The runway will showcase designs from award-winning fashion designers such as The Prince of Fashion, Ishmael Tsakatsa (Zarguesia), Joyce Chimanye (Zuvva), and Ivhu Tribe.
Organizers have informed the media that the event aims to celebrate the fusion of Zimbabwe’s culture and fashion, and empower businesses through networking opportunities within the fashion sector.
“The celebration of Zimbabwe’s vibrant fashion industry, rich culture, and entrepreneurial spirit promises a captivating experience, showcasing the exceptional talent within our nation,” said the event organizers.
“Zimbabwe’s fashion and arts industry significantly contributes to our economic, social, and cultural growth. The Fashion Extravaganza & Exhibition aims to empower these talented individuals and businesses, fostering a thriving creative space within our country,” they added.
In addition to the fashion displays, entertainment will be provided by legendary award-winning gospel musician Everton Mlalazi, who will be joined by Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora, Bernard Betera, Taffie Matiure, Aga Nyabinde, and Eleana Makombe.
The event kicks off at 2:30 PM with an exhibition showcasing the creativity of various designers, running until 4:30 PM. The main fashion show will commence at 6:00 PM and conclude at 10:00 PM.
