Story By Heather C Mlingo Jeke: This year’s Lusaka July dazzled in spectacular fashion as the PR Girl Media duo once again delivered an electrifying event themed “Stars in the Land of Copper,” inspired by Zambia’s 60th Independence anniversary. The event embodied glitz and glamour, showcasing local celebrities and guests who radiated star power and elegance.

Among the standout attendees was South African star Nozipho, from “The Mommy Club,” who made a stunning debut in an exquisite ensemble. Real Housewives star Liz Prinz and the elegant Nonku Williams also graced the occasion, both looking chic and sophisticated. Namibian icon Luis Munana returned, consistently rocking his signature dapper style.

Fashion drama and showstoppers were inevitable, with Zambia’s own Ikugile Makenje making a bold entrance in a striking “Crane, Mazembe” and flower outfit, symbolizing the unearthing of a copper star. Zimbabwean designer Ishmael Tsakatsa of Zarguesia wowed the audience with his fashion show, transforming ordinary materials into extraordinary creations.

South African award-winning designer Imprint ZA delivered a colorful and emotive collection, while Chiza’s Esnoko celebrated Zambia’s cultural heritage with rich, significant pieces.

The festivities were further enhanced by partners like Amarula, Brothers Mocktail, and BINTO. Roberto, the Amarula singer, hosted the event with flair, while musical performances from Macky 2, Cleo Ice Queen, and an electrifying after-party performance by Chanda na Kay, alongside DJ Twizzie, left the audience wanting more as the night drew to a close.
