
London-based Zimbabwean duo, Kambo Boys, have announced the upcoming release of their highly anticipated debut album, Tahwinha, set to launch in February 2025.
In a press statement, the duo shared that the album promises to take listeners on a captivating musical journey, blending the sungura genre with soulful melodies and poignant lyrics that explore themes of faith, love, and life principles. The group consists of vocalists Tonde Maheu Nembaware and Simbarashe Mupfudze, who have dedicated years to refining their craft before unveiling this project.
Kambo Boys expressed excitement about their debut, crediting their talented team, including renowned producer Clive Mono Mukundu, who played all instruments, alongside young sound engineering talent. Tahwinha, a Shona word meaning “to be blessed,” reflects the duo’s African heritage and their experiences living in London.
“We have put our heart and soul into this project, and we can’t wait for our fans to experience the music we’ve created,” said Nembaware. Mupfudze added, “We believe music has the power to bring people together and make a positive impact.” The album features a mix of upbeat and slow tracks, each carrying a unique message and style.
