The Alliance Française de Harare hosted an evening of connection and celebration as the Embassy of France in Zimbabwe and Campus France Zimbabwe brought together the France Alumni community on 16 June 2026.
Held under the theme ‘Reconnect. Share. Inspire.’, the networking cocktail gathered former students of French institutions, current scholars, academics, development partners and professionals whose journeys have been shaped by French education and culture.
More than a social gathering, the evening highlighted the lasting impact of international education and the growing network of Zimbabweans connected to France. Alumni shared experiences from their academic journeys while reflecting on how their skills continue to contribute to sectors including business, science, technology, education and the arts.
The venue reflected the spirit of the event, with Alliance Française continuing its long-standing role as a bridge between Zimbabwean and French communities through language, culture and exchange programmes.
Ambassador Paul Bertrand Barets joined guests as the evening celebrated collaboration, with interactive activities adding a lighter touch to meaningful conversations around future opportunities.
Campus France Zimbabwe described the gathering as a reflection of the France-Zimbabwe partnership in action. Through the global France Alumni network, graduates remain connected to French institutions and opportunities, creating pathways for mentorship, innovation and international collaboration.
As the evening concluded, the message was clear: education is not only about shared memories, but about building stronger connections and creating opportunities for the future.
