All roads led to First Capital Bank Sports Club for another edition of Unplugged, and despite the cold weather, the event drew an impressive crowd.

The Traveller’s Band kicked off the performances, followed by Tamy Moyo, who delivered some of her hit songs, including “Kuterera” and “Ndozvandiri.”

When Killer T is on the lineup, you know you’re in for a treat. His set was hit after hit, and the crowd erupted when he performed the song of the moment, “Ndanyura.”

The event took me back to May 2018 at the Cyprus International University Spring Festival, where popular Turkish singers performed, and talented students were given the chance to open for them. That was my first time hearing Holy ten perform; even foreign students were vibing to the Shona lyrics. Six years later, I watched him again at Unplugged, and his growth was truly remarkable. Unlike many artists, he performed most of his songs in the crowd, engaging closely with his fans.

South African Amapiano DJ Felo Le Tee, known for his hit “Dipatje Tsa Felo,” headlined the event. Other acts included DJ Taku and Chiweddar, while Butterfly kept the energy high as the MC. Everyone received a complimentary Coca-Cola drink, with cooler bags, hats, and cooler boxes given away. Three lucky attendees also won holidays for six to Victoria Falls, Kariba, and Inyanga.
