Harare, Zimbabwe – Ahead of the highly anticipated ZAFTAs 2024 Awards Ceremony, the Cinema Society of Zimbabwe, in partnership with the Content Creators Association of Zimbabwe (COCAZ), has announced a groundbreaking event aimed at reshaping the narrative of women in media. The event will feature a Panel Discussion on Women’s Representation in Film and Television, alongside an Interactive Session focused on Shaping Positive Narratives.

This initiative, set for the days leading up to the ZAFTAs on November 30, 2024, is designed to address critical issues surrounding the portrayal of women in the media and foster a more inclusive film and television industry.

  1. Promoting Women’s Representation: The panel will explore strategies to amplify women’s roles and visibility in Zimbabwe’s film and television industries.
  2. Shaping Positive Narratives: Attendees will gain insights and tools to craft stories that reflect the diversity and values of local communities.
