Charles Tutorial Munganasa takes helm as acting CEO of ZBC

The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) Board has announced the appointment of Charles Tutorial Munganasa, the ZANU PF Youth Secretary for Admin Masvingo, as its acting CEO.

“I was born with nothing, The only currency I had was imagination, this currency bought me a vision, for this vision to grow I had to invest patience, tolerance, prayer, hard work and resilience. Today I am where I am, not yet there but not yet lost. I still carry with me IMAGINATION!” wrote Charles Munganasa

Munganasa, a figure known for his involvement in various creative projects, brings a wealth of experience to the role. With credits including Solo na Mutsai (2017), The Story of Nehanda (2021), and Gonarezhou: The Movie (2020), Munganasa has established himself as a prominent figure in the Zimbabwean entertainment industry.

Beyond his work in film, Munganasa is recognized for his writing, notably penning the award-winning play Operation Restore Regasi. The play humorously chronicles the final moments of the late former President Robert Mugabe’s tenure in power. With a Masters Degree in Journalism and Digital Media Studies, Munganasa possesses a solid academic background complemented by practical experience in film production.

His appointment as acting CEO of ZBC signals a potential shift in the broadcaster’s direction, as Munganasa’s multifaceted expertise promises to bring fresh perspectives to the organization. It remains to be seen how his leadership will impact the future of Zimbabwean broadcasting, but his diverse skill set suggests a dynamic and innovative approach to the role.
