Nigeria’s creative capital, Lagos, will come alive from November 1–8, 2025, as it hosts the highly anticipated Mister Africa International Festival, bringing together some of the continent’s most talented and influential young men.

More than just a beauty pageant, the festival is a celebration of African excellence, creativity, and innovation, providing a platform for young leaders to showcase their talents and drive social change across the continent.

Since its inception in 2012, the Mister Africa International Festival has grown into one of the most respected male pageants in the world, promoting empowerment, leadership, and community impact.

With its vibrant fashion industry, innovative spirit, and cultural dynamism, Nigeria is the perfect host for this year’s edition. The 2025 event will feature contestants from 31 countries, including Angola, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Côte d’Ivoire, Uganda, Mozambique, and Cape Verde.

“Africa’s fashion and technology industries are shaping the global narrative of creativity and innovation. Nigeria, being at the heart of that transformation, is the perfect place to host this year’s festival,” said Queen Adakole, Executive Head of the Mister Africa International Festival.

Last year’s edition, held in Freetown, Sierra Leone, saw Ugandan model Stephen Sunday crowned Mister Africa International 2024, succeeding Nigerian Dr. Emmanuel Umoh. Zimbabwe’s Future Nyoni also made headlines, winning three titles, including 2nd Runner-Up Mister Africa, Mister Southern Africa, and Heart of Africa.

Over the years, the festival has produced inspiring ambassadors such as Akol Dok of South Sudan, who built a school in his home country, and Emmanuel Umoh of Nigeria, who sponsored over 1,000 disadvantaged children.

This year’s edition promises to continue that legacy, blending style, purpose, and empowerment to inspire a new generation of African leaders.
