45 students from Langham Girls High School embarked on an educational tour to Dubai last weekend, providing them with a rare opportunity to experience immersion in different cultures and international education.
The send-off tour aims to broaden students’ horizons, expose them to diverse cultures, and provide hands-on learning experiences outside the traditional classroom setting.
Anglican Diocese of Harare, Education Secretary Dr Nyatsanza said: ”On behalf of Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Harare, students are going to be exposed so much to some knowledge on artificial intelligence and smart learning. We hope students will take this as an opportunity to learn about different cultures in various parts of Dubai. Remember the world is now a global village and this exposure will go a long way in enriching our learners with the realities of life.”
Langham Girls High School Head, Mr Chimombe said the process of organising the trip took about a year.
”This was a long journey, 45 ladies are embarking on this trip. Langham is an international school which produces graduates for the international market,” he said.
Dubai was selected for this educational tour because of its quick rise to prominence as a global center for technology, innovation, and cross-cultural interaction.
Whilst some students were off to Dubai, the St. Agnes Guild at Langham High School gathered at the Bethel Conference Center to pray for journey mercies and divine protection.
Langham Girls High school is situated in Chiweshe, positioned between Mvurwi and Centenary in the Mazowe District of Mashonaland Central. The Anglican Church in Zimbabwe manages the school.
