Boyz II Men confirm South African tour dates
Multi award-winning RnB group Boyz II Men have confirmed their South African tour dates after having to cancel twice during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 and 2021.
G21 Entertainment and Vertex Events confirmed that the group will perform three shows:
- 31 October: Grand Arena, Grand West, Cape Town
- 2 November: SunBet Arena, Time Square, Pretoria
- 4 November: Superbowl, Sun City, Northwest
They were initially set to tour South African in 2020 and 2021 but had to postpone due to Covid-19.
“Boyz II Men promised their fans a killer live show shortly before the pandemic, and now keeping true to that promise, now that it’s safe to do so,” G21 Entertainment front-man Glen Netshipise said.
Boyz II Men also known as B2M, is an American vocal harmony group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, best known for emotional ballads and a cappella harmonies.
They are currently a trio composed of baritone Nathan Morris alongside tenors Wanyá Morris and Shawn Stockman. Michael McCary, the fourth member of Boyz II Men was forced to quit the group in the early aughts due to chronic back pain brought on by multiple sclerosis a disease that attacks the brain and spinal cord.
Recently, the Boyz II Men launched a new series titled ‘Love You Forever’ which is a series of digital collectibles in partnership with Unblocked. The first series of this collection “I Like You” began on February 10 this year and it features new unreleased custom music and artwork pieces from Boyz II Men and echoes the evolution and different expressions of a journey through love.
Boyz II Men is among the biggest names in a cappella and R&B. With what was called “crossover appeal”, they found themselves at the vanguard of the 1990s movement to take R&B back into the mainstream, where it had been back in the 1970s.
